Lever Hoists

Lever hoists – sometimes referred to as comealong hoists or pullers – are a heavy duty, lightweight, portable lifting device used to manoeuvre heavy loads into position without the need to resort to complex machinery.

Most often utilised in engineering, manufacturing and maintenance to safely and efficiently heavy items into precise position, the effective use of a lever hoist provides lifting power where it is needed, helps to minimise the potential risk to personnel and property by stabilising the load during positioning.

Why use a lever hoist?

A versatile piece of lifting equipment, lever hoists are a commonplace utility item in many workplaces, owing to their portability, light weight, and relative ease of use. Designed to lift or lower heavy loads with the use of a lift-wheel and a continuous chain lifting medium, an industrial lever hoist has the ability to situate heavy loads in almost any position with a simple crank of the lever.

Compared to a standard chain hoist, a lever hoist allows the operator to lift or lower a load vertically, or change its axis to move items horizontally. This ability to shift items sideways in a horizontal motion, as well as vertically, demonstrates the hoist’s versatility in applications where access to heavier lifting equipment could be restricted.
