TYPES OF ROPES:

• The extra-improved plow steel wire rope, commonly used by the Naval Construction Force (NCF). It’s strong, tough, and more resistant to wear than other wire rope and is especially useful for heavy-duty service.
• 7×19 galvanized aircraft cable (GAC) in diameters up to 3/8”. It’s stronger than its stainless-steel equivalent but offers good corrosion resistance.
• Type 304 stainless steel alloy for industrial atmospheres or marine environments.
• Type 316 wire rope offers even more corrosion resistance against marine and chemical environments. It is also commonly used in high-temperature applications such as pulp and paper, food processing and textiles.
• Strong but lightweight polyester rope assemblies featuring Samson AmSteel® Blue and Samson Stable Braid. Depending on your need, Thern has the right wire rope for the job.
