With growing demand driving a factory expansion, Acorn relocated several production machines and introduced a new CNC machine for cutting melamine sheets. To streamline workflow and improve operator safety, a reliable lifting solution was required to handle full melamine sheets and place them onto the CNC machine bed efficiently.

The CNC machine was being installed in a restricted area with limited floor space. The lifting system needed to operate within these constraints while still providing access to multiple sheet stacks positioned around the machine.

Flexibility, precision, and ease of use were critical to ensure seamless feeding of materials into the CNC without disrupting production flow.

Stratalign conducted a detailed site visit to assess the layout, available space, and structural capacity of the building and floor slab. Based on these findings, the team designed a column-mounted jib crane paired with a vacuum tube lifter—a combination that provided optimal reach and coverage across all sheet stacks.

This setup allowed a single operator to lift, move, and position sheets quickly and effortlessly, significantly improving efficiency and reducing manual handling risks.

Acorn Furniture opted to complete the installation themselves, supported by Stratalign through remote guidance including video calls, instructional videos, and comprehensive installation and commissioning documentation.
