The Stone Collective specialises in a diverse range of engineered and natural stone products. Their expert craftsmen blend advanced cutting and shaping technology with traditional hand sculpting, sanding, and finishing techniques to create bespoke, high-quality surfaces.
As part of a factory expansion in Pukekohe, The Stone Collective required the installation of three jib cranes to replace a single large, inefficient crane with a more flexible and efficient lifting solution tailored to the new layout.
The biggest challenge faced by The Stone Collective during the crane installation was the limited headroom in the new factory space, which restricted standard crane configurations.
Compounding this was a sloped floor designed for water drainage, making it difficult to securely mount traditional lifting equipment and requiring a customised solution to ensure stability and functionality.
Stratalign designed and manufactured three custom-height, column-mounted jib cranes to suit the constrained space and improve lifting efficiency for The Stone Collective.
By maximising every available millimetre of headroom and utilising the compact Balken G2 Electric Chain Hoists, Stratalign was able to overcome the challenges of limited ceiling height and a sloped floor. The end result was a fully functional and space-efficient lifting solution tailored to the client’s operational needs.
