Mains Powered & Battery Powered

Stratalign offers a complete range of electric and battery powered crane mounted or forklift mounted vacuum lifting devices for the handling of steel sheet or plate, alloys, concrete, stone, marble, granite and panels. Capacities range from 30 kgs up to 50,000 kgs. Available with single pad, multi pad, radio control, 90 degrees and180 degrees tilting options.

Vacuum lifting can be used to lift and manoeuvre both porous and non-porous materials.

  • Mains Powered Units – Once power is connected via the electric hoist, enjoy a trouble-free lifting device. With the help of vacuum technology, workpieces of any shape, size or material type can be quickly and easily engaged and transported safely and damage free.
  • Safety – The reservoir is designed to provide a minimum ‘hang on’ time of 20 minutes in the event of power failure. All vacuum lifting devices must complete a lifting test before they leave the factory. The vacuum supply unit, lifting beam and vacuum pads are constructed and tested for three times the rated lifting capacity to ensure a long, low maintenance life span
  • Battery Powered Units – No installation or connection is required. The unit is easily interchangeable between cranes or forklifts if required. This system has been developed to offer the user an easily installed & very useable lifting system that requires no reeling drums or connection to outside power source. A lifting device with the lowest possible operating & maintenance requirement
  • Safety – The reservoir is designed to provide a minimum ‘hang on’ time of 20 minutes in the event of power failure – however the ‘powered on’ system can hold on to a maximum load for at least 7 days. All vacuum lifting devices must complete a lifting test before they leave the factory. The vacuum supply unit, lifting beam and vacuum pads are constructed and tested for three times the rated lifting capacity to ensure a long, low maintenance life span.

This system provides the operator with continuous status indication during the lifting process. Should the operator try to lift a sheet incorrectly then the red xenon flash/warning sounder will operate. The system is inherently safe. It will not pick up panels unless initial sealing criteria are met. Once suction is achieved a clamping force of at least 3 times the maximum capacity will be achieved. (safety factor is minimum 3). The sealing system has been specially designed for all types of surfaces from rough to smooth.
